The problem we kept running into

Between us we have run more implementations and audits than we can count, across ISO 27001, SOC 2 and a wide range of other frameworks. Every time, the same frustration came up. The tools built to help you get certified had grown into sprawling platforms that connected to everything, cost many thousands of dollars a year, and still left you wrestling with spreadsheets for the parts that actually mattered.

For a lot of businesses, the tool ended up costing more than the audit and the certification itself. That never sat right with us.

So we built the tool we actually wanted

CertAssist is the tool we wished we had. It lays out every control in a framework, gives you built-in policy and evidence guidance you can edit, and keeps the whole implementation in one clear place. Then it lets your auditor step in and review the evidence directly, which takes time and cost out of the audit as well.

Secure because it stays out of your systems

Most compliance platforms ask to plug into your cloud, your identity provider, your code and your infrastructure. Every one of those connections adds risk:

• Another door into your environment
• Another set of credentials to protect
• Another third party holding your data

Third-party vendors connecting into your systems are now among the biggest cybersecurity risks organisations face.

Any integration into your systems can introduce a serious cybersecurity threat, and could expose your data and your organisation to attack. For a tool whose whole purpose is to improve your security, that is a real and often overlooked risk.

CertAssist takes the opposite approach. It does not connect to your systems and it does not pull your data. There are no integrations to secure and no agents installed on your infrastructure. It is a deliberate design choice, not a missing feature.

We stripped out everything that did not help you get certified, and put all of our attention into the parts that do. The result is a tool that is fast to learn, easy to run, and priced so that any business chasing certification can afford it.
